A week on Mull and Iona

I spent the last week of May on the Isle of Mull, with one day on Iona. The weather was wonderful – in fact if anything it was too hot! I left early on 31st to return home, and that was the only day that it rained, and it was quite heavy rain too.

This was a photographic workshop organised by DUncan McEwan, and thanks are due to him and to the other participants for providing such an enjoyable experience, and for putting up with me. We stayed at the Ardachy House Hotel, where as usual the hospitality was excellent and the food superb.

There was a visit to Staffa, though I’m afraid that I opted out of this, s I’m not that keen on small boats (actually it was not a particularly small boat though).

All my photography was done using the Olympus E-M5, mostly with the versatile 14-150mm lens, though I did use nearly all the other lenses I took with me, and I did take one or two pictures with the iPhone 4S, primarily to capture location data.

I’ve put some images on FLickr and also in the NEWER GALLERIES/Landscape section of these web pages. I’ve also finished editing a slideshow and a photo album.
