Orkney Photo Workshop – Day 0

Day 0 as most of the day was spent getting from Perth to Orkney, including the ferry journey. Really I intended to travel one day later, but the ferry wasn’t operating that day, so rather than arrive the day the workshop began, I decided to arrive 2 days early. The ferry was 30 minutes late, so it was about 20:45 before I arrived at the hotel. WiFI performance here seems extremely slow and rather uncertain, so it took a lot of time to back up my few photos from the journey, and then process them. As it was dark, there was no opportunity for photography when I arrived in Orkney, and weather and the design of the ferry made photography impractical on the way over. The forecast is not at all bad at the moment for most of the time I shall be staying on Orkney.
