Male woodpecker

Blip231

Most of my visitors have been females (at least 2), but a male put in an appearance today. Interestingly this male adopts a horizontal position when feeding, while both the females choose to perch tail down. A picture of the second female, which has very unusual plumage, will appear in the near future.

About Mike Hessey

I'm a BOF (Boring Old Fellow) and MOS (Miserable Old Soul) whose main interests are photography, cycling, walking and computers. Regrettably recent problems with my legs, back and heart have reduced the cycling and walking.
