Cassette recorder

It was a reported in the last few days that the man credited with developing the tape cassette, Loun Ottens, has died, aged 94. I thought I would mark his passing with a photo of a very early cassette player (possibly the first model on the market) which I bought at the time they were launched. The carrying case has got rather battered the intervening time.

I’ll probably con tin the theme tomorrow with a picture of an early Walkman.
