
Very dull weather, so I decided to try some cooking for a change – my most ambitious attempt to date. I prepared a fish pie, using the recipe in Gail’s book. I was very pleased with the result, very tasty, though I didn’t get a couple of bits quite right, partly because getting quantities of some ingredients right for what was essentially only a quarter of the final dish was challenging. But I’ll certainly try it again, and have made notes on the appropriate quanitities for next time.
