Proud and attentive mother

A family of tiny ducklings made surprise first appearance this morning on the lily pond in the park. No one had seen any sign of the nest, nor that such an event was going to happen! The ducklings must still be very young, and were moving rapidly amongst the reeds and lilies, and the priority was not to disturb them, rather than getting photos, so I have settled for a icture of the mother hiding amongst some reeds. I hope to get a picture of the young ones in the next day or so.
