Hornby Dublo

Hornby recently celebrated their centenary, and released replicas of some of their earlier products. One of these was the VW van with their name on it. HOWEVER, this one is actually an original from way back when, photographed today on  my rather neglected industrial layout! Also in this pictures are some old Matchbox models (slightly over-scale?) – we had a white A50 , and I learned to drive on it (dreadful gear change – the famous editor of Motor Sport, Bill Body, commented at the time that ‘the man who designed this gearbox should quickly be found other employment!).

About Mike Hessey

I'm a BOF (Boring Old Fellow) and MOS (Miserable Old Soul) whose main interests are photography, cycling, walking and computers. Regrettably recent problems with my legs, back and heart have reduced the cycling and walking.
